The Solid Waste District is proud to again sponsor a Household Hazardous Waste Day for Darke County residents on Saturday, October 2, 2021. The event is scheduled to run from 8:00 a.m. to Noon (Last Names A-M 8am—10am, Last Names N-Z 10am—Noon). This event will allow residents to dispose the following items:                

□ Paint (Oil and Latex)* □ Pool Chemicals □ Gasoline/Kerosene □ Household Cleaners

□ Antifreeze □ Varnishes/Stains □ Mercury □ Turpentine

□ Fertilizers/Pesticides □ 20# Propane Tanks Only □ Prescription Medications

*Limit 15 cans, no matter the size.  No 55 gallon drums

**Due to large volumes of paint, there will be a $2 per paint can charge (full or empty). There will also be a $1 charge for 1-5 aerosol cans, no matter the contents.
