The Versailles Fire Department is a volunteer organization with 24 Firefighters, with 7 also being EMT’s, and 1 an EMR. The department’s fleet consists of two engines, one tanker, one tanker/pumper, one brush firefighting truck, and an air compressor trailer. The Fire Department also carries a full set of extrication equipment, airbags, rescue tools, along with BLS first responder equipment on Engine 1941. The Department responds to approximately 120 service calls each year. In addition, the Versailles Fire Department hosts a Bike Rodeo annually for local youth, manages the Grand Parade for the Poultry Days festival, hosts Girl Scout and Boy Scout Groups, and educates Versailles students on fire safety every October during fire prevention week.
