STREET LABORER POSITION
The Village of Versailles is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Street
Laborer. This is a full-time hourly compensated position who under general direction,
performs a variety of semi-skilled and unskilled labor tasks in maintaining public
facilities, streets, refuse, sewer, and water systems, and properties. Experience with
heavy equipment operation, excavation, dump trucks/snow plows, pipe installation,
concrete finishing, and roadway construction is preferred.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED),
and a valid Ohio Driver’s License. A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a Class
A endorsement must be acquired by the end of a six (6) month probationary period.
This is an hourly position with an hourly compensation range of $22.15-$31.65/hour.
Candidates with Ohio EPA water and wastewater treatment licensure are eligible for
additional compensation. The Village of Versailles maintains a Grade/Step Hourly
Compensation Program as well as an excellent benefits and retirement program.
